This Society ( Asian Society of Sport Anthropology ) was founded in 2009 at the Tsinghua University International Congress for the Anthropological Study of Sport, where the scholars from China, Korea, China Taiwan, and Japan desired to organize the Society for the advancement of sport anthropology research in Asia.

　The Conference of this Society was held first in Japan 2010, and then has been given every two years.
